Our Privacy Principles

AlifBay Talent is an initiative by AlifBay. We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping personal data safe and transparent.

1. Information We Collect

Public Talent Profiles: When you list yourself on AlifBay Talent, the professional information you provide (name, role, specialty, skills, bio, rate, location, portfolio links) is published in the public directory so clients can find and consider you for projects.

Private Contact Information: Your direct email address is stored securely and is never displayed publicly on profile pages. Clients submit inquiries through our private contact form to protect your inbox from scrapers and unsolicited spam.

Hiring Enquiries: When clients submit a message through a talent profile, we collect the sender's name, email, project requirements, and optional budget to forward to the talent or coordinate introductions.

2. How We Use Information

We use the data solely to operate the directory, review applications, connect clients with talent, prevent spam, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

3. Service Providers and Sharing

We use Supabase to store account, profile, enquiry, and payment records; Brevo to send service emails; Dodo Payments to process optional purchases; and Google Analytics to measure site use. If you connect GitHub to help fill out your profile, we retrieve public profile and repository information from GitHub. These providers may process information in countries other than yours. Contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.

Enquiry details are sent to the relevant talent so they can decide whether to respond. A talent's private email is shared with a client only when that talent chooses to respond. Approved profile information is visible to anyone on the web.

4. Analytics and Local Storage

Google Analytics loads only if you accept analytics in the site's choice panel. It may then use cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and interactions. You can change your choice through “Analytics choices” in the footer. We also use browser storage to keep your shortlist and to restore an enquiry draft after checkout. The site records profile views, shortlist additions, and search appearances for talent analytics. Please do not put sensitive personal information in search terms.

5. Verification and Payments

If you request verification, we store the document you upload privately for review. We remove it after a verification decision. Pending documents older than 30 days are removed when an administrator opens the verification queue. For optional purchases, our payment provider handles checkout; we keep purchase identifiers, status, amount, currency, and the buyer information needed to deliver the purchase and resolve payment issues. We do not collect payment card details on this site.

6. Retention and Your Choices

Profiles remain listed until removed or withdrawn. We keep enquiries, account and purchase records for as long as needed to operate the service, handle disputes and refunds, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can ask to access, correct, or delete your information, or object to its use where applicable, by emailing support@alifbay.in. Some records may need to be retained for legal or payment reasons. You can also clear this site's browser storage and manage analytics cookies in your browser.
